i always want to draw better than the previous year! my skill level could always be brushed upon with consistent practice :3c i don't have much of an end goal with my art at the moment but i would love to change that!
here's my study plan from last year that i got half way through, for reference (ran out of time to knock off the rest lol...)

in other news, im probably always changing my artstyle... i want variety to grace my work because i get a liddle bored doing the same thing over and over~ currently obsessed with soft brushstrokes and hyperrealistic shading... but i've also dabbled into using color mode layers such as in these pieces. the difference is astounding!

on the topic of study goals: i also plan to do more still-life and background study!
they are really good for learning to put together a comprehensive piece as doing object studies helps when putting together a scene.
i could always use the extra shape and shading language needed for more intensive drawing sessions~!
i plan to do more wireframe and stock photo reference studies alongside the usual drawing from life; not to mention, what prolly really help a lot perspective cubes...
interestingly enough, i found the draw a box challenge floating around and thought i'd join!
i'm going to be drawing 100 boxes minimum in perspective by the end of the year.
(all preferably in 1, 2, and 3 point perspectives, respectfully.)
the thing about boxes is the whole "we gotta surrender to the mortal fear of cascading lines" LOL... i still haven't gotten over the fear of going over my sketches for cleaner lineart -- let alone making clean straight lines... it'll pose as a fun challenge!
(1000 boxes... impossible but mayhaps i can do the impossible)
a good drawing grid for mental checknotes is good when it comes to checking proportion
(lord knows i need it LOL)
